13 Key Features of PeopleSoft HCM PUM Image 31

Oracle’s PeopleSoft HCM Suite has recently released Image 31. Below we’ll explore these recent enhancements and new functionality, which encompasses 13 useful features:

  1. Absence Management Chat Bot: Using the absence assistance tile, employees can access the Absence Management Chat Bot to perform simple transactions related to absences. 
  2. Employee Self-Termination: Through employee self-service, employees are able to initiate their own resignation or retirement.
  3. HR Business Partners: This tool allows HR managers to track and show HR managers for employees and perform tasks such as salary raises.
  4. Development Documents for Employee Snapshot: Available on the summary and performance review dashboards. Administrators can configure the display to show chosen development documents. 
  5. Fluid Extended Absences Self-Service: A tool which allows employees to create and maintain extended absence requests using fluid. Employees can also review approved extended absence requests.  
  6. Activity Guide Composer Multi User Guide: Allows users to create templates that allow multiple users to complete different steps in a process. 
  7. Enhanced Security for Profile Management: Adds additional security options when setting up the profile type content sections. You can now use PeopleTools roles to allow certain employees certain capabilities. 
  8. Compensation Cycle for Variable Compensation: This enhancement complements the existing functionality that allows the creation of cycles for merit plans only, or merit and variable compensation plans. 
  9. Leave and Compensation Balance: Includes a new tile for leave and compensation time for increased visibility. 
  10. ePerformance Auto-Transfer Document Enhancements: Has added enhancements to the auto-transfer feature which transfers in-progress documents automatically when managers are terminated.
  11. Acknowledgment Framework in Candidate Gateway: You can configure an acknowledgment for candidates after they register. This provides more flexibility within the original consent agreement including audit trails.
  12. Fluid Reported Time Audit: Administrators can easily access employees reported time audit with the newly introduced time and labor tile for easy access. 
  13. Drop Zones for HCM: PeopleSoft HCM continues to expand the footprint of drop zones in its applications. This enables you to add text, links, and other field to pages without impacting future upgrades.

Industry Update: Image 22 for PeopleSoft HCM released!

00:15Creating a New Position Using Fluid Guided Self Service

This new functionality gives managers access to a new guided self-service transaction for copying or cloning positions. The cloning functionality makes it easier to post a new job requisition by cloning descriptions and data for existing positions. 

02:20Changing Work Schedule Hours Using Fluid Guided Self Service
This updated feature has been renamed, and provides additional items to include a standard hours field in addition to the full/part time field. It also now includes a Display-only FTE equivalent field when a manager changes full time hours. 

03:11Fluid Employee Snapshot New Content and Enhancements
Additional Dashboards and Content have been added, allowing managers to view and navigate employee data without having to go to multiple pages. Four business processes and data – personal competencies, honors and awards, responsibilities, and licenses and certifications are included in the employee snapshot. New performance review dashboards have been added, introducing new performance related tiles. Talent administrators can now use the Fluid User Interface to configure displays, enabling the talent administrator to determine how long tiles appear and what titles, awards, etc. should be available.

05:39Fluid Manager Self Service–Report Time, Weekly Time, Payable Time, and Leave Balances for Time and Labor
New Feature enables managers to enter time and review weekly, payable time, and leave balances using the Fluid User Interface on a desktop, tablet, or mobile device. The Team Time panel allowes managers to navigate between components with ease. 

06:55Fluid Self Service Enhancements for Absence Management
Enhancements include the ability to review eligibility and forecasting details in Fluid Self-Service. The user interface is now more intuitive with a streamlined interface. The “View Absence Balances” pages allow the ability to review current balances, forecast, and review forecast balance details, which are then added to the approval absence transaction. This allows review of only the reviewed balances and requests which meet the required criteria. 

07:58Enhanced Absence Management Integration with Time and Labor
The absence process can now be run iteratively with enhanced integration between Absence Management and Time and Labor. The Absence Calendar no longer needs to be finalized to send Absence to Payable time, as well as real-time payable time can be generated upon Absence Approval. 

08:55Fluid Self Service for ePay Global Payroll Banking
This new feature enables employees to add Bank Accounts and payment information via Fluid User Interface. 

09:35Fluid Enhancements for Candidate Gateway Recruiting
New functionality includes customer requested enhancements,  including the ability to turn off email job postings, turn off ability for employees to refer a friend, ability to display the close date on a requisition, and ability to add a new search of the most recent job descriptions’ on the careers page. 

11:51Electronic Form P45 for the United Kingdom
This enhancement now supports online P45 generation and provides leavers the option to view or print the report with Employee Self Service, as well as allows Administrators to select P45 receipt via email or Employee Self Service after generation.

13:14Payments Conform to ISO 20022 Standard for Switzerland
Updated to create payment files compliant with the Swiss derivative for IS 20022.
