

Enhancing Manager Efficiency with Oracle Cloud AI Agents

PeopleSoft 9.1 to 9.2 Upgrade
The St. Paul Public School system serves roughly 32,000 K-12 students in the Twin Cities metro area. St. Paul Public Schools (SPPS) is a thought leader in serving diverse student populations. As an organization that educates students that speak over 125 languages, SPPS is an inclusive environment for students to learn each day. SPPS serves students across a variety of school formats, both in an online environment, through nontraditional schools, and the more traditional K-12 format. SPPS offers additional opportunities for learning in the community by providing early childhood education, English language learning, and college readiness.
Saint Paul Public Schools (SPPS) engaged Elire to remove outdated system modifications and leverage new and improved functionality for its existing PeopleSoft environment. Elire was tasked with upgrading their PeopleSoft 9.1 FSCM and HCM Systems to PeopleSoft 9.2 FSCM (PUM 39) and PeopleSoft 9.2 HCM (PUM 37). Along with this upgrade, SPPS was chosen by Oracle to initiate an exclusive pilot group that implemented PeopleTools 8.59 on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
Challenges to this project related to the large and diverse userbase of SPPS, which included corporate users, administrators, teachers, and staff. Addressing this wide range of users added complexities to ensure that the unique needs of varying departments would be met.
The project was also initiated during the COVID-19 pandemic, which posed concerns about the efficiency of conducting the project 100% remotely.
Both FSCM and HCM upgrades for SPPS successfully went live in June 2022 and were delivered on time and under budget. Elire was able to conduct the project 100% remotely, and the needs of a diverse SPPS user base were carefully addressed to create an improved user experience for all.
PeopleSoft fluid navigation and pages were introduced across both FSCM and HCM, increasing efficiency and reducing navigation time for SPPS users. The introduction of PeopleSoft WorkCenters for all modules also acted as a catalyst for improved user productivity.
