Understanding Oracle Redwood: Express Mode vs. Advanced Mode in Visual Builder

Oracle Visual Builder Studio provides two modes for customizing Redwood UI pages: Express Mode and Advanced Mode. This demo walks through the differences between the two, showing how each mode enables teams to modify and extend Fusion Applications effectively.

Express Mode: A simplified interface for toggling fields, setting rules, and making quick UI adjustments without complex coding.

Advanced Mode: A full development environment where users can configure action chains, lifecycle event listeners, REST calls, and deeper customizations.

The demo covers:

  • Identifying a Redwood Page in Fusion Applications
  • Editing Pages Using Express Mode vs. Advanced Mode
  • Creating Custom Business Rules and Notifications
  • Deploying Changes Through Build Pipelines

Learn how to navigate Visual Builder Studio, modify pages efficiently, and choose between Express Mode and Advanced Mode based on project needs.
