Oracle Enterprise Performance Management August 2025 Update
Oracle has rolled out a significant enhancement in its 25.8 Update (August 2025 EPM Release) extending the Data Integration Pipeline functionality to Account Reconciliation Cloud Service (ARCS). This long-awaited capability responds directly to Oracle customer requests and supports seamless integration across common ARCS business-as-usual (BAU) tasks.
The Pipeline in Data Integration can now be leveraged in Account Reconciliation environments, enabling users to build new pipeline jobs focused exclusively on ARCS-related tasks, including:
- Create Reconciliation (Reconciliation Compliance): Copies all selected profiles to a period and returns success or failure status
- Generate Report for Account Reconciliation: Generates a predefined Reconciliation Compliance or Transaction Matching report, or a custom report
- Import Attribute Values: Imports values into an existing list or group attribute
- Import Balances (Reconciliation Compliance): Imports balances via Data Integration from a defined integration and returns success or failure
- Import Pre-Mapped Balances (Reconciliation Compliance): Imports pre-mapped balances and returns job status
- Import Pre-Mapped Transactions (Transaction Matching): Imports pre-mapped transaction files into Transaction Matching and returns job status
- Import Rates (Reconciliation Compliance): Imports rates for a specified period and rate type
- Run Auto Match (Transaction Matching): Executes the auto match process
- Run Auto Alert (Transaction Matching): Executes the auto alert process for a given match type and creates alerts for unmatched transactions. Status can be monitored in the Job History tab
- Set Period Status (Reconciliation Compliance): Changes the period status (open, closed, pending, locked). Opening a period triggers a job, while closing/locking does not
Business Benefit
This pipeline functionality allows business users to execute a sequence of ARCS-focused operations, such as importing balances, transactions, and rates, in a single, streamlined location. These can be run serially or in parallel, improving efficiency and control over reconciliation workflows.
Ultimately, this is a key enhancement for achieving end-to-end automation and orchestrating holistic data workflows. Pipeline configurations can be reused across business units, supporting scalable enterprise-wide ARCS implementations.
These updates make ARCS more adaptable to enterprise data strategies, whether reconciling 100 or 100,000 accounts.
Important Note for EPM Practitioners
While the pipeline feature provides powerful orchestration, EPM Automate remains the most efficient tool for simple, isolated ARCS tasks. For linear, single-purpose actions, there’s no need for the overhead introduced by pipeline jobs.
For example:

These commands remain direct, efficient, and easy to manage.
As such, pipeline and EPM Automate will co-exist, each serving a specific purpose based on task complexity.
The 25.8 Update represents a pivotal shift in enabling scalable, extensible ARCS implementations. If you’re considering ARCS and need guidance on managing integration challenges, connect with the Elire EPM team for strategic advisory and to chart your roadmap for success.
