Elire, a Trusted Advisor and Systems Implementer for Oracle PeopleSoft and Cloud, had the pleasure of attending, presenting, and exhibiting at the Quest Oracle Community BluePrint 4D event at the Hilton Anatole Resort in Dallas, Texas. This user conference brought together top professionals in the industry to discuss new functionality, user stories, best practices, and network in the world of Oracle technology.
Although it should be no surprise to all, AI and its integration into our workforce and applications was at the forefront of keynotes and thought-provoking sessions. But past the buzz words, Oracle Application learning and roadmaps were the core of user learning. In the PeopleSoft Keynote, led by Robbin Velayedam (Senior Director, HCM Product Strategy) and Alex Man (Group Vice President of Application Development), we learned about the innovations and continued investment in the PeopleSoft application, including the integration of GenAI, demos of the PFC Change Tracker, a commitment to embedded insights in WorkCenters, and access to the PeopleSoft and Oracle Business Network. We also celebrated the release of the 50th PUM Image, showcasing Oracle’s commitment to continuing to deliver new, customer-requested features to enhance the PeopleSoft User Experience and Application value.
The PeopleTools roadmap and technical sessions highlighted the containerization of PeopleSoft. This update will make running and scaling on-premise much easier and cheaper. It will also tie in nicely to Kubernetes orchestration and scaling. Coming up in PeopleTools 8.62 is a huge reworking of the homepage that generated excitement about the visuals and structure.
In the PeopleSoft product roadmaps, the continued investment in PeopleSoft Insights (formerly Kibana) was a key focus, as well as continued investments in simplifying and modernizing Search (ex. Real-Time Indexing). Another exciting advancement is the centralization of all notifications in a single place with Notification Composer. Enhancements to the Performance Management module were also highlighted with simplified use, new visibility options, employee recognition capabilities, and mobile-enablement.
Elire also presented with Oracle’s Robbin Velayedam in an early-morning panel discussing beginning the journey for PeopleSoft Customers looking at the Path to Cloud. In this session, we discussed the options that are available to PeopleSoft customers, and the different ways that they can prepare and streamline their transformation to Oracle Cloud. More information on this process and Elire’s recommendations is available on our PeopleSoft to Cloud Hub.
We also engaged with PeopleSoft and Oracle Cloud users at the Elire Booth (#1106) and learned more about what customers are looking to get out of the event, including insights on PeopleSoft Expansion, PeopleSoft to Cloud Migration, Cloud application maturity and new technologies, PeopleSoft optimization through Oracle Guided Learning and especially interest in PeopleSoft Test Framework.
Elire Experts presented across PeopleSoft and Oracle Cloud disciplines, on topics including Oracle ME, Oracle Journeys, Cloud HCM Security, Project Management during Cloud transformation, Oracle Cloud Lease Management with Waste Management, PeopleSoft Usage Monitor, and Lucene Indexes.
Conference learning aside, the opportunity to connect with other Oracle Users and Partners in Dallas was nothing short of a great time. From our skyline view happy hour (shout out to everyone who braved the stairs during an unfortunate elevator maintenance event) to enjoying some delicious Texas BBQ and Tex-Mex, the opportunity to connect and engage with those so passionate about the Oracle community was a joy. With all the coffee and connects, and late night Media Bar conversations, it’s safe to say all should have left feeling more immersed in this special community.
Overall, the BluePrint 4D conference was an exceptional opportunity to network with peers, attend thought-provoking sessions, and gain invaluable insights into the latest Oracle technologies and strategies. The entire Quest Oracle Community Team and their Customer Board Members deserves the highest of accolades for putting on this amazing event.
