PeopleSoft Financials User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Training
Elire’s Strategic Advisory Services team partnered with FM Global to facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for their PeopleSoft Financials 9.2 implementation. The goal was to develop end-to-end business process training materials to serve as process guides for users during UAT across key modules. These included Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Management, General Ledger, and Purchasing.
This involved conducting thorough end-to-end testing, reporting any errors to the technical team, and ensuring that all the most up-to-date training materials were comprehensive, accessible, and accurately updated on the FM Global’s intranet to support a successful go-live and post-go-live transition.
Through adopting project management practices in the training pillar, Team Elire completed the project one week ahead of the go-live date.
The main challenge Elire faced was quickly adapting to the Azure Test Plan application and diving right into the process. This involved taking on a liaison role between technical, business, and functional teams to ensure smooth communication and coordination. Identifying the specific needs around UAT, while balancing testing responsibilities and facilitating clear communication, was key to overcoming this challenge and ensuring that the project progressed without delays.
Elire successfully facilitated the PeopleSoft Financials User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and coordinated between FM Global’s technical and functional teams, ensuring the application was ready for go-live. Elire also created comprehensive job aids to train users on new features such as Pivot Tables, WorkCenters, Fluid Navigation, Kibana Dashboards, Amortization Vouchers, GL Journal Spreadsheet Upload, and ElasticSearch, applied across key modules. Team Elire completed all activities one week ahead of schedule, allowing FM Global to fully benefit from their new system.
