Mr. Michael Merrill has a proven PeopleSoft track record with extensive implementation and upgrade experience dating back to 1997. Michael has successfully led global teams of consultant and client resources that range from 2 to 20+ members. He is an excellent communicator who possesses a strong work ethic. His overall experience involves leading modules with minimal supervision through all stages of the implementation and upgrade life-cycle including project planning, requirements analysis, business process re-engineering, gap analysis, design and proto-typing, conversion, system testing, training/change management, and support.
He has a solid functional and high-level technical understanding of the General Ledger and Accounts Payable modules. He specializes in GL business process re-design with a special emphasis on Chart of Accounts design and GL month-end close. Michael has a solid understanding of the Procure to Pay and Order to Cash processing streams.
Michael has worked in the Energy, Insurance, Hospitality, Retail, Non-Profit, Staffing, and Public sectors. He is well versed and experienced in testing strategy, methodology, and execution. He also has significant exposure to integrations due to his work with the touch points between Financials and HCM and his work in highly integrated, global PeopleSoft Financial environments.
Michael began his PeopleSoft career with Circuit City Stores, which was one of the largest implementations up to that point. This experience of working on a PeopleSoft implementation from the client side, together with his consulting positions, has provided him with a unique perspective and thorough understanding of the vital relationship between client and consultant. This insight as well as his deep knowledge of PeopleSoft and implementation methodology often affords Michael an advisory seat at Steering Committee meetings.
