PeopleSoft Financials and Supply Chain Management (FSCM) released Image 21 this week, which includes new features and functionality including Asset Tracking Enhancement, Interface Component Standardization, Asset Retirement Obligations, and many more. Below is a brief summary of the added features and enhancements. As always, for more in depth information on updates, take a look at Oracle’s PeopleSoft FSCM P121 Highlights video.
Asset Tracing Enhancement – This gives users the ability to define if asset scanning can be performed by asset tag number, Serial ID, or both. If the option to scan is selected you will be able to toggle between asset tag and serial ID.
Interface Component Standardization – Standardization of the interface components now provides a consistent user experience, as well as enhanced visibility and the ability to update and approve physical and financial interface details from a single component.
Mass Transaction Manager Extensions – This feature provides the option to preview the asset data to be updated en masse prior to running the Mass Transaction Manager application engine.
Asset Retirement Obligations – Introduced in the feature are partial-year measurement and the recognition of asset retirement obligations, as well as the associated asset retirement cost. Administration of the depreciation of asset retirement cost is now more flexible due to these introductions.
Strategic Sourcing Notice of Award and Notice of Intent Award – A new notification “notice of intent to award in strategic sourcing” is available for use.
Amortization of Expenses – This feature allows a way for users to make annual payments that are to be amortized in regular installments over a period of time. Accounts Payable users provide essential amortization information, initiating advanced payments within PeopleSoft. Finance departments can then manage amortization by utilizing a schedule generated by the PeopleSoft system.
HCM PUM Image 19
Human Capital Management (HCM) Image 19 was also released this week with the following features. Check out a video from Oracle detailing the latest features and functionalities in PeopleSoft HCMPI19 Highlights!
Employee Snapshot – With this feature, Managers are able to quickly review and analyze employee data without navigation of various locations in their system. Managers are able to create tiles, allowing fast access to the employee snapshot pages on their home page.
Workforce Availability Analytics – Employees’ time distribution are now easily analyzed against the schedule for a given time period. The analytics provide a detailed list of values within a grid, that enable managers to perform actions without leaving their page.
Recruiting Diversity Analytics – Talent Acquisition now utilizes a diversity overview chart detailing ethnicity, gender, disability, and veteran status. The chart can be be viewed including all four demographics, or drilled down to each individually.
Global Payroll Variance Analytics – With this feature, payroll results from two different periods can be displayed to compare previous and current values.
Configurable Global Name Formatting – This feature allows definition of basic roles and configure names by format type in the new format detail table.
Fluid Candidate Gateway Enhancements – Four updates have been made to the Fluid Candidate Gateway introduced in Image 18. The updates are:
- Employee friend referral through the “Refer a Friend” Functionality for jobs.
- US Federal Implementations that support Federal Preferences and Priority Placement
- Usability enhancements around Terms and Conditions
- Keyword field guidance text additions
Absence Request Cancellation – This feature allows the cancellations or alteration of absence requests.
eSocial for Brazil – Brazil’s nationwide reporting system has added more social events and a monitoring tool for tracking these events.
Mobile Payslip Country Extension Implementations – Payslip information is now visible on employee’s mobile smart phones via the PeopleSoft Fluid User Interface. The payment balances page is also no longer restricted to displaying year-to-date balances and can now be configured to the relevant period.
HR HelpDesk for US Federal – Federal customers of PeopleSoft HCM are now able to view information about their employees in the HRHD 360 Degree page. The system can now display information specific to federal employees, including Tenure, Appointment type, Service Computation Date, Payplan/Grade/Step, FLSA Status, and Benefits/FEHB.
